Lexus RX (RX 350L, RX450h) 2016-2024 Repair Manual: Invalid Data Received from Brake System Control Module Invalid Serial Data Received (U041881)
DESCRIPTION
The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) sends signals indicating the status of the vehicle stability control system to the forward recognition camera via CAN communication.
If the forward recognition camera receives a vehicle stability control system malfunction signal from the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly), it will store this DTC.

NOTICE:
- When replacing the forward recognition camera, always replace it with a new one. If a forward recognition camera which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the forward recognition camera will not match the information from the vehicle and a DTC may be stored.

If the forward recognition camera has been replaced with a new one, forward recognition camera adjustment must be performed.
HINT:
Forward recognition camera adjustment can be performed by using either One Time Recognition or Sequential Recognition.

(a) Using the Techstream, check for vehicle stability control system DTCs.
Chassis > Brake/EPB > Trouble CodesHINT:
If DTC U041881 is output by the pre-collision system, perform troubleshooting for the vehicle stability control system.
