PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE DIFFERENTIAL CASE TAPERED ROLLER BEARING (FRONT SIDE)

(a) Using SST, remove the differential case tapered roller bearing (front side inner race) from the differential case assembly.

(b) Using SST, remove the differential case tapered roller bearing (front side outer race) from the transaxle housing.

2. REMOVE DIFFERENTIAL CASE TAPERED ROLLER BEARING (REAR SIDE)

(a) Using SST, remove the differential case tapered roller bearing (rear side inner race) from the differential case assembly.

NOTICE:

The differential case tapered roller bearing (rear side inner race) cannot be removed as is. Break the bearing cage and remove the bearing cage and rollers first, and then remove the differential case tapered roller bearing (rear side inner race).

(b) Using SST, remove the differential case tapered roller bearing (rear side outer race) and shim from the automatic transaxle case sub-assembly.

3. REMOVE TRANSAXLE CASE OIL SEAL

(a) Using SST and a hammer, remove the transaxle case oil seal from the transaxle housing.

4. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT OIL SEAL RH

(a) Using SST, remove the front drive shaft oil seal RH from the differential case assembly.

5. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT OIL SEAL LH

(a) Using SST and a hammer, remove the front drive shaft oil seal LH from the automatic transaxle case sub-assembly.
