INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL SOLENOID ASSEMBLY (for Intake Side of Bank 2)

(a) Apply engine oil to a new O-ring and install it to the camshaft timing oil control solenoid assembly as shown in the illustration. NOTICE: Do not damage the O-ring.

*1 O-ring

(b) Apply adhesive to 2 or 3 threads of 2 new bolts. Adhesive: Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324, Three Bond 1324 or equivalent

*a Adhesive

(c) Install the camshaft timing oil control solenoid assembly to the timing chain cover assembly with the 2 bolts.

Torque:

10 N·m {102 kgf·cm, 7 ft·lbf}

(d) Connect the camshaft timing oil control solenoid assembly connector.

2. INSTALL ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

4. REMOVE ENGINE SUPPORT BRIDGE

5. CONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE

6. INSTALL BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY

7. INSTALL WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET

for 2WD: Click here

8. INSTALL FUEL PUMP PROTECTOR

9. INSTALL BATTERY BRACKET REINFORCEMENT

10. INSTALL BATTERY CARRIER SUB-ASSEMBLY

11. INSTALL BATTERY

12. INSTALL INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY

13. INSTALL INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY

15. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER

16. INSTALL OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

17. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

18. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL SOLENOID ASSEMBLY (for Exhaust Side of Bank 2)

(a) Apply engine oil to a new O-ring and install it to the camshaft timing oil control solenoid assembly as shown in the illustration. NOTICE: Do not damage the O-ring.

*1 O-ring

(b) Apply adhesive to 2 or 3 threads of 2 new bolts. Adhesive: Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324, Three Bond 1324 or equivalent

*a Adhesive

(c) Install the camshaft timing oil control solenoid assembly to the timing chain cover assembly with the 2 bolts.

Torque:

10 N·m {102 kgf·cm, 7 ft·lbf}

(d) Connect the camshaft timing oil control solenoid assembly connector.

19. INSPECT FOR ENGINE OIL LEAK
