INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the wire harness clamp bracket with the bolt.

Torque:

8.4 N·m {86 kgf·cm, 74 in·lbf}

(b) Type A:

(1) Install the generator assembly with the 2 bolts.

Torque:

43 N·m {438 kgf·cm, 32 ft·lbf}

(2) Temporarily install the generator assembly bracket with the 2 bolts.

(3) Fully tighten the 2 bolts.

Torque:

20 N·m {204 kgf·cm, 15 ft·lbf}

(c) Type B:

(1) Install the generator assembly bracket to the generator assembly with the bolt.

Torque:

20 N·m {204 kgf·cm, 15 ft·lbf}

(2) Install the generator assembly with the 2 bolts.

Torque:

43 N·m {438 kgf·cm, 32 ft·lbf}

(3) Install the nut.

Torque:

20 N·m {204 kgf·cm, 15 ft·lbf}

(d) Engage the 2 wire harness clamps.

(e) Connect the compressor and magnetic clutch connector.

(f) Connect the generator assembly connector.

(g) Connect the wire harness to terminal B with the nut.

Torque:

9.8 N·m {100 kgf·cm, 87 in·lbf}

(h) Close the terminal cap.

2. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT

4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
