Installation

HINT:

  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
  • The following procedure is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL QUARTER PANEL WHEEL OPENING MOULDING

HINT:

When installing the quarter panel wheel opening moulding, heat the vehicle body and quarter panel wheel opening moulding using a heat light.

CAUTION:

  • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts, touching the heat light may result in burns.
  • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

NOTICE:

Do not heat the vehicle body or quarter panel wheel opening moulding excessively.

(a) Clean the vehicle body surface.

(1) Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface.

(2) Remove any double-sided tape from the vehicle body.

(3) Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

(b) Remove the release paper from a new quarter panel wheel opening moulding.

HINT:

After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

(c) Engage the clip and attach the double-sided tape.

HINT:

Press the quarter panel wheel opening moulding to install it.

(d) Install the quarter panel wheel opening moulding with the 3 screws.

3. REMOVE QUARTER PANEL WHEEL OPENING MOULDING

HINT:

When removing the quarter panel wheel opening moulding, heat the vehicle body and quarter panel wheel opening moulding using a heat light.

(b) Using a heat light, heat the quarter panel wheel opening moulding.

(c) Disengage the clip and separate the double-sided tape to remove the quarter panel wheel opening moulding.
