SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
GENERAL
The windshield deicer system uses thin heater wires attached to the inside of the windshield glass to help deice the window surface more quickly. An indicator light illuminates while the system is operating. This system automatically turns off after approximately 15 minutes.
NOTICE:
If the battery voltage is low, the windshield deicer system may not operate. When "Operation of Electrical Items Restricted." is not displayed on the multi-information display in the combination meter assembly, check the Data List item "Battery Control Count (Body ECU)".

Air Conditioning Amplifier Assembly | Sends windshield deicer activation request signals to the semiconductor pwr integration ECU. |
Semiconductor Pwr Integration ECU | Receives windshield deicer activation request signals from the air conditioning amplifier assembly and supplies power to the windshield deicer wire (windshield glass). |
Windshield Deicer Wire (Windshield Glass) | Receives power from the semiconductor pwr integration ECU and heats the windshield deicer wire (windshield glass). |
