CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

NOTICE:

Make sure to hold the front wiper arm while lifting it as lifting the front wiper arm by the front wiper blade may damage or deform the front wiper blade.

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE FRONT WIPER BLADE

(a) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(b) Turn the engine switch off and operate and hold the windshield wiper switch assembly in the MIST position for 2 seconds or more.

HINT:

If the front wiper blade does not move to the service position, turn the engine switch on (IG) and then perform this procedure again.

(c) Push the lock button of the front wiper blade to release the lock.

(d) Remove the front wiper blade from the front wiper arm as shown in the illustration.

NOTICE:

Place a piece of cloth between the front wiper arm and windshield glass to avoid damaging the windshield glass.

2. REMOVE FRONT WIPER BLADE RUBBER

(a) Disengage the claw and remove the front wiper blade rubber from the front wiper blade as shown in the illustration.

3. INSTALL FRONT WIPER BLADE RUBBER

(a) Insert the front wiper blade rubber into the front wiper blade.

(b) Engage the claw to install the front wiper blade rubber as shown in the illustration.

Install in this Direction

NOTICE:

Make sure the claw is securely engaged or the front wiper blade rubber may come out of the front wiper blade while driving or using the windshield wipers.

4. INSTALL FRONT WIPER BLADE

(a) Slide the front wiper blade until the lock button locks to install the front wiper blade.

NOTICE:

Make sure that the lock button locks so that it is installed securely.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) Operate the windshield wiper switch assembly to return the front wiper arm and blade assemblies to their original position.

(d) Turn the engine switch off.
