INSTALLATION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

CAUTION:

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY (for Standard Seat Type)

(a) Install the front seatback heater assembly to the separate type front seatback cover with 12 new tag pins.

2. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER (for Standard Seat Type)

HINT:

When installing a separate type front seatback cover, refer to Precaution in order to prevent wrinkles from forming.

(a) Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seatback pad with 12 new hog rings in the order indicated in the illustration. NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the separate type front seatback cover. Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seatback cover.

3. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD (for Standard Seat Type)

4. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK HEATER (FRONT SEATBACK PAD WITH COVER) (for Sports Seat Type)

HINT:

The front seatback heater cannot be removed from the front seatback pad with cover as they are a unit.

(a) Install the front seatback heater (front seatback pad with cover).

(b) Engage the 2 brackets and install the 2 nuts. Torque: 5.5 N·m {56 kgf·cm, 49 in·lbf} NOTICE: For vehicles with a front seat airbag assembly, the front seatback pad with cover must be securely installed. Otherwise, the front seat airbag assembly may not deploy properly. Make sure that the strap is not twisted after installing the nut. Install the brackets securely.
