The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during air fuel ratio sensor removal/installation are shown below.

PROCEDURE
1. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

2. REMOVE NO. 2 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR

3. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 2)
CAUTION:
To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust manifold or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.
| (a) Using SST, remove the air fuel ratio sensor from the exhaust manifold assembly LH (TWC: Front Catalyst). SST: 09224-00011 NOTICE: If the air fuel ratio sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it. |

4. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL RH

5. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER

6. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 1)
CAUTION:
To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust pipe or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.
| (a) Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector. |

(b) Disengage the 3 wire harness clamps.
| (c) Using SST, remove the air fuel ratio sensor from the exhaust manifold (TWC: Front Catalyst). SST: 09224-00011 NOTICE: If the air fuel ratio sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it. |
