INSPECTION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

CAUTION:

Ensure that fingers or articles of clothing do not get caught in moving parts when performing this test.

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

(a) Check the HI operation.

(1) Connect a positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 3 (L) and a negative (-) lead to terminal 4 (S+) and 1 (2S), and check that the front wiper motor and link assembly operates.

NOTICE:

Be careful not to get your fingers pinched between the parts (*b) shown in the illustration when the wiper motor and link assembly is operating.

OK:

Front wiper motor and link assembly operates at high speed (HI).

If the result is not as specified, replace the front wiper motor and link assembly.
