PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Check the resistance.

(1) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
10 (SWI1) - 11 (SWO1)	ON (Lock)	10 Ω or less
	Switch not operated	1 MΩ or higher
	OFF (Release)	10 MΩ or higher
10 (SWI1) - 2 (SWI2)	ON (Lock)	10 Ω or less
	Switch not operated	1 MΩ or higher
	OFF (Release)	10 MΩ or higher
10 (SWI1) - 3 (SWO2)	ON (Lock)	10 Ω or less
	Switch not operated	1 MΩ or higher
	OFF (Release)	10 MΩ or higher
11 (SWO1) - 2 (SWI2)	ON (Lock)	10 Ω or less
	Switch not operated	1 MΩ or higher
	OFF (Release)	10 MΩ or higher
11 (SWO1) - 3 (SWO2)	ON (Lock)	10 Ω or less
	Switch not operated	1 MΩ or higher
	OFF (Release)	10 MΩ or higher
2 (SWI2) - 3 (SWO2)	ON (Lock)	10 Ω or less
	Switch not operated	1 MΩ or higher
	OFF (Release)	10 MΩ or higher

If the result is not as specified, replace the electric parking brake switch assembly.

3. REMOVE ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 3 screws and electric parking brake switch assembly.

1. INSTALL ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the electric parking brake switch assembly with the 3 screws.
