INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT AWD LOCK SWITCH (COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY)

(a) Inspect the AWD lock switch:

(1) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

Tester Connection

Condition

Specified Condition

5 (B) - 1 (GND)

AWD lock switch pushed

Below 50 Ω

AWD lock switch not pushed

10 kΩ or higher

If the result is not as specified, replace the AWD lock switch (combination switch assembly).

(b) Inspect the illumination:

(1) Apply battery voltage to the AWD lock switch (combination switch assembly) and check that the AWD lock switch (combination switch assembly) illuminates.

Standard:

Measurement Condition

Specified Condition

Battery positive (+) → Terminal 10 (ILL+)

Battery negative (-) → Terminal 6 (ILL-)

Illuminates

If the result is not as specified, replace the AWD lock switch (combination switch assembly).
