INSTALLATION
PROCEDURE
1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION FLOOR SHIFT ASSEMBLY
NOTICE:
Check that the park/neutral position switch assembly and the shift lever are in neutral.
(a) Temporarily install the transmission floor shift assembly to the vehicle body with the 4 bolts. | |
(b) Tighten the 4 bolts in the order shown in the illustration.
Torque:
12 N·m {122 kgf·cm, 9 ft·lbf}
2. CONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY
(a) Engage the 2 claws to connect the transmission control cable assembly to the transmission floor shift assembly.
NOTICE:
Make sure that the transmission control cable assembly is securely connected.
(b) Connect the transmission control cable assembly to the transmission floor shift assembly. NOTICE:

3. CONNECT WIRE HARNESS
(a) Engage the 3 clamps to connect the wire harness to the transmission floor shift assembly.
(b) Connect the shift lock control ECU connector.
(c) Connect the transmission control switch connector.
4. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX INSERT

5. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

6. INSTALL SHIFT LOCK RELEASE BUTTON COVER
(a) Engage the 2 claws to install the shift lock release button cover to the shift position indicator. NOTICE: Install the shift lock release button cover with its groove facing the rear of the vehicle. |

7. INSPECT SHIFT LEVER POSITION
