The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during front seat cushion heater removal/installation are shown below.

Initialize back door lock

Power Door Lock Control System

Reset back door close position

Power Back Door System (w/ Outside Door Control Switch)

  • Front seatback frame sub-assembly LH
  • Front seat adjuster assembly LH

Initialize position control ECU

Front Power Seat Control System (w/ Memory)

CAUTION:

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

HINT:

  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
  • The following procedure is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

2. DISCONNECT FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD (for Standard Seat Type)

4. REMOVE INNER NO. 1 FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD (for Standard Seat Type)

5. REMOVE INNER NO. 1 FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD (for Sports Seat Type)

6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD (for Sports Seat Type)

Click here

7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD

8. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY

9. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD (for Standard Seat Type)

(a) Disconnect the 2 connectors.

(b) Disengage the 4 clamps.

(c) w/o Variable Seat Cushion System:

(1) Disengage the 10 hooks to remove the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad.

(d) w/ Variable Seat Cushion System:

(1) Disengage the 2 fasteners.

Fastener

(2) Disengage the 4 hooks.

(3) Remove the 4 hog rings.

(4) Disengage the 7 hooks to remove the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad.

10. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER (for Standard Seat Type)

(a) w/o Variable Seat Cushion System:

(1) Remove the 6 hog rings.

(b) w/ Variable Seat Cushion System:

(1) Remove the 2 hog rings.

(c) Remove the 18 hog rings and separate type front seat cushion cover from the separate type front seat cushion pad.

11. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY (for Standard Seat Type)

(a) Remove the 44 tag pins and front seat cushion heater assembly from the separate type front seat cushion cover.

12. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER (FRONT SEAT CUSHION PAD WITH COVER) (for Sports Seat Type)

HINT:

The front seat cushion heater cannot be removed from the front seat cushion pad with cover as they are a unit.

(a) Disconnect the 2 connectors.

(b) Disengage the 4 clamps.

(c) Disengage the 10 hooks to remove the front seat cushion heater (front seat cushion pad with cover).
