Lexus RX (RX 350L, RX450h) 2016-2026 Repair Manual: AVC-LAN Circuit

DESCRIPTION

Each unit of the navigation system connected to the AVC-LAN (communication bus) transmits switch signals via AVC-LAN communication.

If a short to +B or short to ground occurs in the AVC-LAN, the navigation system will not function normally because communication is not possible.

NOTICE:

Depending on the parts that are replaced during vehicle inspection or maintenance, performing initialization, registration or calibration may be needed. Refer to Precaution for Navigation System.

HINT:

The radio receiver assembly is the master unit.

PROCEDURE

(a) Remove the radio receiver assembly.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Resistance: Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 5 (TX1+) - 6 (TX1-) Always 60 to 80 Ω

*a Component without harness connected (Radio Receiver Assembly)

REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY

OK

(a) Disconnect the J148 radio receiver assembly connector.

(b) Disconnect the J56 multi-display assembly connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

NG

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK

(a) Disconnect and reconnect each slave unit one by one until the master unit returns to normal.

OK:

Master unit return to normal.

OK

REPLACE MALFUNCTIONING PARTS

NG
