Lexus RX (RX 350L, RX450h) 2016-2026 Repair Manual: Slip Indicator Light Remains ON

DESCRIPTION

This procedure is for troubleshooting when the slip indicator light remains on but no DTCs are output.

The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) controls the slip indicator light in the combination meter assembly via CAN communication.

The slip indicator light blinks during VSC and/or TRAC operation.

If a malfunction is detected, the slip indicator light comes on to warn the driver.

NOTICE:

After replacing the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly), perform "Calibration".

PROCEDURE

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) Enter the following menus: Chassis / Brake/EPB / Utility / Vehicle Control History (RoB).

(d) Using the Techstream, check for Vehicle Control History.

HINT:

If vehicle control history is stored (X2079, X208A, X20D7, X20D8, X204C or X2088), the slip indicator light illuminates.

PERFORM TROUBLESHOOTING AND REPAIR REGARDING VEHICLE CONTROL HISTORY

A

(a) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical /Combination Meter / Active Test.

(b) Perform the Active Test of the combination meter assembly using the Techstream.

(c) Check the combination meter assembly.

OK:

The slip indicator light turns on or off in accordance with the Techstream operation.

INSPECT METER / GAUGE SYSTEM
