REMOVAL
CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
NOTICE:
Make sure to release vacuum from the brake booster assembly before removing the brake master cylinder sub-assembly from the brake booster assembly.
PROCEDURE
1. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID
NOTICE:
If brake fluid leaks onto any painted surface, immediately wash it off.
2. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL

3. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

4. REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY

5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE

6. REMOVE AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY

8. DISCONNECT NO. 1 RESERVOIR HOSE
| (a) Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 1 reservoir hose from the brake master cylinder sub-assembly. |

9. REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH WAY
| (a) Using a union nut wrench, disconnect the 2 brake lines from the brake master cylinder sub-assembly with way. NOTICE:
|
|
| (b) Remove the 2 nuts and brake master cylinder sub-assembly with way from the brake booster assembly. NOTICE:
|
|
10. REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER O-RING
(a) Remove the brake master cylinder O-ring from the brake master cylinder sub-assembly.
