PROCEDURE
1. PRECAUTION
NOTICE:
After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

2. SECURE VEHICLE
(a) Fully apply the parking brake and chock a wheel.

3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

4. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL

13. REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY
(a) Move the shift lever to N.
(b) Disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the transmission floor shift assembly. |

(c) Disengage the 2 claws and disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the transmission floor shift assembly. |
|
(d) Remove the nut and disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the transmission control shaft lever. |
|
(e) Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 claws and disconnect the transmission control cable assembly with clip from the No. 1 transmission control cable bracket.
(f) Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws and remove the clip from the transmission control cable assembly. |
|
(g) Disengage the 2 clamps. |
|
(h) Turn back the floor carpet. |
|
(i) Remove the 3 bolts and transmission control cable assembly from the cabin.
