DESCRIPTION
The combination meter assembly controls the illumination and turning off of the rear turn signal lights.

PROCEDURE
| 1. | CHECK OPERATION (REAR TURN SIGNAL LIGHTS) |
(a) Check the operation of the rear turn signal lights.

| 2. | CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH - REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH) |
(a) Disconnect the S31 rear combination light assembly LH connector.
(b) Disconnect the Z21 rear light assembly LH connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:

| S31-5 (TRN1) - Z21-4 (TRN4) | Always | Below 1 Ω |
| S31-5 (TRN1) or Z21-4 (TRN4) - Body ground | Always | 10 kΩ or higher |
| S31-6 (TRN2) - Z21-5 (TRN3) | Always | Below 1 Ω |
| S31-6 (TRN2) or Z21-5 (TRN3) - Body ground | Always | 10 kΩ or higher |

(a) Interchange the rear combination light assembly LH with RH and connect the connectors.

(a) Check that the rear turn signal light of the rear combination light assembly LH illuminates.
OK:

| 5. | CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH - REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH) |
(a) Disconnect the S33 rear combination light assembly RH connector.
(b) Disconnect the Z20 rear light assembly RH connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
