1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

(a) Inspect the front scuff plate light.

(1) Apply battery voltage to each terminal of scuff plate light connector and check the operation of the scuff plate light.

Result:

Connection

Specified Condition

Battery positive (ILL+) → 1

Battery negative (ILL-) → 2

Scuff plate light comes on

If the result is not as specified, replace the front door scuff plate LH.

2. INSPECT FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

(a) Inspect the front scuff plate light.

(1) Apply battery voltage to each terminal of scuff plate light connector and check the operation of the scuff plate light.

Result:

Connection

Specified Condition

Battery positive (ILL+) → 1

Battery negative (ILL-) → 2

Scuff plate light comes on

If the result is not as specified, replace the front door scuff plate RH.
